A dear friend of mine, Michelle Lopez, is an art major at UT San Antonio. She's one of those people that you hate because you want to be her. She's beautiful, smart, funny, and especially talented. Her paintings, sculptures, drawings, and film projects are amazing to me. "Gutter: The Eyes of God are Watching" is her latest film project.
"An experimental video installation that explores the idea of taking completely meaningless and innocent images, and turning them into something more suggestive through ambiguity and the single use of split screens. The rhythmic sound engineering was made from nothing but found objects (spray bottle, metal clanking, pen clicking, knee slapping) that were only slightly manipulated through the use of reversion and shifts in speed."
